Account Deletion

1. What this covers
This page explains how to delete a macro Cloud account. macro Cloud is our optional backup and sync feature. If you have never signed in with Apple or Google for macro Cloud, you do not have a cloud account to delete — your data stays on your device only.
2. Delete in the app
The fastest way to delete your account and all associated cloud data is from within the macro app:
- Open macro on your device.
- Go to Profile → Cloud Backup.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Deletion is permanent. Your cloud backup, account, and subscription records stored on our servers are removed. Data on the device where you delete the account is also reset.
3. What gets deleted
When you delete your macro Cloud account, we remove:
- Your sign-in account (Apple or Google)
- Your cloud backup (meals, weight logs, goals, and settings)
- Your subscription status records on our servers
Meal photos are not stored in cloud backups and are not affected by account deletion.
4. What is not deleted
Deleting your macro Cloud account does not automatically cancel an active macro Cloud subscription. Cancel billing in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings if you no longer want to be charged.
Data stored locally on other devices you have used is not removed until you sign out, reset, or uninstall macro on those devices.
5. Cannot access the app?
If you cannot open macro or sign in, email us from the Apple ID or Google account email linked to your macro Cloud account. We will verify ownership and complete deletion within 30 days.
